Fleet, Fleeting

This is hardly the first time that Jason Kidd has fought hard for a rebound before making magic on the break, but for some reason this sequence seemed especially worthy of highlight. Point guards don’t often do this. Basketball players don’t often do this. It’s hard to say “enjoy it while you can” without a sense of fatalism, but, well, enjoy it while you can, Mavs fans. Kidd won’t be around forever.

Kid seems to get better with age. he may have slowed down a bit, but he is still saavy and extremely gritty.

Happy for you that you could watch the game with Followill and Ortegal – I had to stick with the simply AWFUL Miami announcers who did not have any clue about the team besides Dirk (asking if Terry was one of the all-time best 3pt shooters, saying that DeShawn could easily “light it up”,etc.)….

So true, that guy is going to be missed when he leaves the league.

The guys from Miami are still better than a lot of other commentators I have to deal with (since I'm from Germany I can only watch via League Pass). No clue, yes, but at least trying to be fair.

I wasn't sure Marion still had the ups to dunk from that far, but he got the job done.

Wow. That is the best play of the year.
Watch Shawn all the way through. Great defense. Runs back but doesn't go towards the ball. He's running to keep an open angle to Kidd and a line at the basket – its a great pass because Shawn keeps the angle and takes the pass right in stride.
    Wow. F'n wow.
