Top-Down Change

Posted by Rob Mahoney on February 22, 2010 under News |

The Two Man Game has been around for over a year now, which is roughly one millennium in internet time. Over that millennium, I’ve done my best to provide quality Mavs-related content in all forms and fashions…in the most generic blogging layout possible. No longer. As of today, The Two Man Game will boast a new look thanks to a brand spankin’ new banner.

All of the credit in the world goes to Steven Ligatsa: graphic designer by day, MFFL by night. He did an absolutely incredible job bringing the concept to life, and I can only hope it brings Steven a certain pride to see his work represent his team in such style.

So for those of you who check in via RSS reader, stop by for a visit to check out the new look. And for those of you who visit the site regularly, I hope you’ll enjoy the fresher start to every page load.

    snazzy!

cool banner. @phil and @rob -ALSO WAS A FAN OF "biased coverage" ...thought it was fun, and acknowledged the fact you weren't a beat reporter, but still had a wonderful role to fill in this information age

So much more inviting -- great job, great choice.

Having been privy to some of your preliminary planning, I think this banner is SLICK. Nice job.
  • Top drawer!

Hey Rob, why did change the slogan from "completely biased coverage of the Dallas Mavericks" to "experience the sights and sounds [...]"? I thought it was such a great phrase! Would you consider rechanging it? :)
  • nice.
  • Victor
actually, i'm not crazy about the "experience the sights and sounds..." part, but that's just a minor gripe. now i feel dirty.
  • @Victor: I really wanted the banner to look and feel like a retro travel poster, which is where you'll find the inspiration for a lot of what's going on on it. So while I'm not a HUGE fan of that tagline in principle, I do think it works well to tie together the theme.
