Well, This Is Unexpected

Sometimes, the only flaw in a great idea is that somebody else beats you to it first. That fairly explains my feelings on the concept behind this excellent video from Kevin Arnovitz, in which he analyzes the Mavs’ perplexing fourth quarter offense:

In some ways, I’m grateful. The good Dr. Arnovitz broke down the tape in his typically thorough fashion, and has essentially done my work for me. But now it’s back to the drawing board for the next Moving Pictures, which should probably drop at some point next week.

Rob, for your next Moving Pictures a piece about how Andre Miller was able to put up 52 on us (and JJ) might be interesting. He had a good night, no doubt, but it seemed like he got a lot of wide open looks on drives to the basket. Would be interesting to see.

reminds me a lil bit of the magic.

so often they struggle to get the ball to dwight howard in situations like this, although his ft shooting isnt up to scratch, he is still their best option...

anyway, andre miller went psycho today. wow!

This is the reason you bring back the one on one talents
of J-Ho. Too much ball handling and not enough setting up
for the most talented at taking his man off the dribble.
Occasionally he gets the assist by virtue of drawing multiple defenders. Not enough J-ho. Jet's been schmoozing
Carlisle while Josh has been a good little boy.
